OBD II Interface
Our software is designed to work with interfaces that use the ELM327 OBD interpreter chip which supports CAN (ISO 15765-4), SAE J1850 PWM, SAE J1850 VPW, ISO 9141-2 and ISO 14230-4 protocols. Since the ELM chip converts to serial, a USB to serial converter is also needed such as the FTDI chip, which requires a driver to be installed (free download).
